Surviving Marriage:Fireproof (Movie)

Yes... just like any other little girl. I used to wear my bed sheet on my head pretend it was a veil, walk and imagine that I was meeting prince charming at the altar.

C'mon admit it. we have all dreamed of that day, the prefect dress, the perfect setting and the perfect cake. However, I would have to confess that by the age 25 I developed a fear of getting married. I didn't like the thought of that commitment then after years of being together, split and everyone gets hurt and you are forever tied to your ex-husband because divorce in our country is not allowed.

Then I hit the 30's and I'm starting to feel like I just might turn into an old maid, but the good news is that I finally got married in January 2012.  Marriage has always amazed me somewhat, and I always have envied those couples that grow old together.

Perfectly, I have stumbled across references to help me through my baby steps of marriage. I am not perfect and I would as much want my marriage to last until forever.

My first reference came off HBO, the movie Fireproof (circa 2008), I loved this movie so much. It's about different situations of married couple and how to overcome them all being based on a 40- day love dare. I loved how the rules were realistic and do-able.

I loved this quote from the movie "Fireproof doesn't mean a fire will never come, but that when it comes you'll be able to withstand it."

See their website, I'm sure like any other wife you want your marriage to withstand anything.

Wanna try the love dare? See here.

What are you using as your reference to a good marriage? Please share :)

  3. I have to download this! Thanks for sharing.

I think "acceptance". We tend to complain especially us women when our husbands turn into someone they're not. I know it's hard but it will start there.
