Review| Godiva Natural Skin Care

I am so guilty of not having a regular skin regime. I am truly lazy to wash my face before going to bed however it is never too late to start right?

Once at a fair, there was a booth that was offering free skin analysis, I really didn't want to know how bad my skin was but I was thinking what the heck! Turns out that aside from small wrinkles, I have melasma forming and an uneven skin tone. Thus, my quest to find the perfect skin regime was on!

I was lucky enough to receive a Godiva skin care pack to review and oh boy I was one happy little camper! This was my chance to find my perfect skin care routine.

I honestly am quite dubious when it comes to whitening products, either they are irritating to the skin or some just really have no noticeable effect. So, I was excited see how the Godiva Natural Skin care products would work. We all have heard of the brand before but I do feel that this is a new line, first thing that makes me feel good is that the products are Paraben-free and it still uses Licorice extract which is a natural whitening ingredient, this also makes it safe for pregnant and breastfeeding moms. Their formulation promises whitening that will last.

I opted to review Godiva's Natural Skin care Facial wash, Facial Toner and Facial cream, since I needed to even out my skin tone and stop melanin from forming.

Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Facial Wash (Php85): I love the facial wash, even though it is a new thing for me since my usual facial washes would foam and this doesn't,  but then the more foam, I realized that it could mean more chemicals. You have an almost transparent product and the smell is pleasing and not a strong fruity or  heavily perfumed scented product. It washes off easily too, which is a plus factor for me since again, I am a lazy momma when it comes to washing my face, this lessens the time to get it over with.

Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Facial Toner (Php89): After using the facial wash, I proceed with using the Facial toner, again the smell is pleasant and there is no stinging at all. You feel how clean your face is after this and yet you don't get the drying after effect with usual commercial facial toners.

Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Facial Cream (Php120): The third step is applying the facial cream. The cream is light and scent is similar to the wash and toner. I love how it is easily absorbed by my skin, it feels light, not sticky nor does it make your skin feel oily. Great thing that this does not limit you using the product on your face, you can also use it on other parts of your body, like your neck, underarms and other dark areas that you wish to lighten. Although, I found that adding SPF could have made a BIG difference, so that I wouldn't have to use a separate sunblock product for my face.

I used this routine for 2 straight weeks, yehey for my discipline to do so! I was waiting for the effect until someone told me at the office, "Hmmm, you're looking fairer!" WOW, I replied, "Well, it must be the Godiva products that I'm using." I can't believe I actually said that, since I sounded like a model from a commercial but yes it did happen.

This made me excited to write this post since it isn't always that I get a product that will  actually keep it's promise.

Here's my proof:
The Godiva Natural Skin care products lightened and evened out my skin tone, made me look more fresh and I really like how my face has a better base for make-up. The best part is when the hubby notices too! Don't expect that you'll be as fair as Snow White after using the Godiva line but at least you know you will be paying your money's worth with this. No more waiting in vain for something to happen.

Here is how I scored Godiva's Natural Skin Care:

What I liked:
Scent
Packaging
Does not sting
Effectiveness (Subtle)

What I didn't like:
No SPF

What I'm so-so about:
Price

Will I recommend this product? Absolutely YES and I will purchase in the future!
