Mamanee's Adventures| Books For Less Warehouse Sale

I raise my hand as an admitted book worm. I remember how my brother and I would spend our afternoons in the public libraries back when we were still in the UK. There is nothing better than turning a page of a new book.

I came across the post of Mommy Pehpot about her trip to the Books For Less Warehouse sale and I knew I needed to go. The books she had bought were at 10php each! Could this be true??? EACH??

I took the hubhub with my little 'twin' stars to Pasig like it was a hop scotch away, enduring the traffic jam and the heat.

When we finally got to the warehouse, I had the feeling of euphoria and how excited we all were. There were a lot of buyers and my daughter was just saying 'woooo' most of the time and I loved how she picked the books she wanted.

I was bothered though with the books that would fall on the floor yet nobody would even pick up, my daughter and I picked up a few, then in horror I saw a boy continously run over the books that had fell on the floor, back and forth.

It also was a little hot inside but of course it's a warehouse and there was a little dust. But if you are an ukay ukay person like myself that wouldn't bother you much.

It was hard to get around so bringing kids  isn't ideal, so I had to basically rush looking around and grab whatever fitted my fancy. You do have to go through the pages of the books though since some are damaged, ripped or doodled on.

The hubhub and I were still very happy and satisifed with our finds, they were all for the kids by the way hehe and yes 10php each! So we only paid 100php for the books we got. I definitely want to go back!

Route I took (commute): From Cubao ride a jeep to Ever (Rosario), Get off at Rosario Pasig and take a jeep to Pasig Palengke and ask the driver to drop you off at Jollibee Mercedes. From there take a tryke to La Consolacion College, the warehouse is right opposite it.

For other directions and routes both commute and by driving, please check Mommy Pehpot's post

If you do decide to go to the Books For Less Warehouse sale, here are some tips:

1. Bring a face mask if you are allergic to dust.

2. Bring a reusable or eco bag to put your purchased books in.

3. Try to go earlier in the morning, for sure most of the books would be in place and you'll fet first dibs on the book choices, plus it won't be that hot in the warehouse.

Hurry you still have until August 31st! (Sundays and Holidays not included).

  14. Sadly, the bookstore similar to BFL here in Cebu just recently closed down. Perhaps it's an opportunity to bring BFL here - they offer a business opportunity pa naman! Hehe
