Personal & DIY| My Princess' Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

I was pretty excited this year, since my princess has been attending daycare and I couldn't have thought of a better way of spending her birthday than having it at her school with her new friends.

Initially she requested for a Lalaloopsy birthday, I'm not sure what changed her mind, but then nearing her birthday the request turned into a Minnie Mouse birthday theme.

My Princess'

I usually opt for DIY for two reasons, personal touch and it's cheaper. Since the kids in daycare are used to spaghetti, pancit and cooked break meals, I decided to go slightly bento (and I'm saying slightly since I truly no expert) and concentrate on finger food - no fuss eating.

I made a tutu for my princess complete with a red polka dot circle skirt which was totally hand stitched, the personalized loot bags using cartolina and baked her candle blowing cake with cupcakes.

The cherry on top was definitely the Artfelt Kiddie Salon booth where the kids (and kids at heart) got treated to nail art, glitter tattoos, princess crowns and beautiful hair do's. I'll post a separate feature on them soon!

It was a big shame that I personally wasn't able to make it since I caught a viral infection exactly on the day itself, but I felt all the happiness from the kids in the photos and from my princess.

  2. Aw. I really admire mommies taking time to DIY parties for their kids. Its more personal and I guess our children appreciate it more. DOne that too for the Christening of our baby and everybody contributed. Its more fun actually!

  10. Thinking of a birthday theme! Last year, my son wanted to have a Monster Jam birthday party. So I had to make the green, violet and black colors reflect that cheerful children's birthday vibe! Thanks for sharing!

  14. We will be having a circus/carnival theme party for my son's first birthday this month and I am super excited na hehehe.I chose the carnival theme because I find the red, royal blue, white and gold colors playful when combined. The planning is 8months in the making and we also did some DIYs to save few bucks.

  15. This is so cute :) We recently celebrated my daughter's birthday in school and it was a princess theme :) Not much decors so I opted for simple cake and had McDo deliver the food in school :)) I hope to make it more personalized next year :)
