My 5 Secret Tips to a Long and Lasting Relationship with My Hubhub

Marriage...you get two different reactions when this word is uttered - it's either "Awwwwww..." or "Urrrggghhh". Some enjoy marriage and then we see some complaining that it's a pain.

An actual marriage is a combination of the two. You will get the dose of your Aww's and Urgh's. What's the best way to keep that relationship long and lasting? Read on so I can share with you a few of my secrets (and the hubhub's of course!).

Del

My hubhub and I have been together for a total of 8 years - but those 8 years were NEVER easy. We both have a lot of things that we disagree on, fight about and we have things that we would nod our heads to. With an age difference of 15 years, it is never easy to meet in the middle.

So, what keeps us afloat, despite our differences? Sharing our 5 secret tips to a long and lasting relationship:

1. Trust Your Partner AKA Leave the mobile phone alone!
- A relationship full of doubt is on its way to the path of destruction. You do not need to know the Facebook password of your partner, just to sneak if they are cheating on you and if they trust you equally then everything would be an open book. Stop playing the FBI agent of your partner's life (Kaya mo yan, tigilan pag scroll sa messages).

2. Keep Open Communication AKA Kasalanan mo rin kaya
- Never sleep on a problem and talk about everything that you worry about, about what makes you happy and if you were hurt in a situation that your partner did. But do not set the blame or point fingers when doing so, you want to help your partner understand where you are coming from. Is it really hard to say sorry, or is it too late to say that I'm sorry, sabi nga ni Justin Bieber. Minsan we need to admit na tayo rin at fault.

3. Remember and Reminisce AKA pabebe moments activate!
- Remembering the moments when you were still in the ligaw and dating stage will bring back kilig memories that both of you can smile about. We talk about our awkward first date in Something Fishy Eastwood which makes us laugh and eveytime nagpabebe kami during our relationship, saka yung mga times na we would have the mamahalin coffee dates and how we first met. May kurot pa kasama sa pag kwento. :)

4. Everyday is Woo Day AKA Unli landiaan (sa partner lang ha?!)
- Woo each other in your own special way. I like to buy my husband little things that make me think of him, with or without an occasion. I also like to surprise him if he did something that made me happy. Last time, I surprised him with an MMA Event ticket for being a good dad. He gave me last week a cute Snowman Tumbler for being a hardworking mom and wife. Work together on house chores or kids needs - both of you will appreciate that small lambing. Kapag tulog na kids, you now have unli-landian while watching a movie curled up together on the couch.

5. Always Smell Fresh AKA Make yourself always hug or yakap-kilig ready
- Natawa ka na noh? Sige nga how can you make yakap if you smell icky? Housework, parenting, errands and commuting sort of affects your after smell when you do things active. You may have perfume or cologne on but then it could be your clothes that affect your scent. So make yourself yakap-friendly by having your clothes touched by Del's Forever Joy and Love Fabric Conditioner. When we started using Del Forever Love it really made our clothes more fresh smelling than before!
