Blogapalooza 2013: Mamanee's Adventure!

The first thing that comes to mind when you talk about blogging is an internet site where one elaborately posts about their experiences in travel, personal stuff and how you felt about a service/product.

I only found out a little while back that there are benefits in blogging and one of the benefits are getting your word out there about businesses with some perks in return, but then you still must keep in mind that quality is the number one key to success.

I had the greatest opportunity to experience this by attending one of the biggest blogging events: Blogapalooza 2013

At first I was pretty hesitant to apply as a blogger for the event feeling I wouldn't be qualified to be counted in but to my delight I was included in the 450++ bloggers invited to Blogapalooza.

I was so excited that I also wish I was able to stay the whole day, which I promise to do next time of given the opportunity next year. 😊

So what went down? As soon as you walked into the the SM Aura Convention center hall I was greeted by a wide array of booths, and lo and behold... Mikey Bustos standing in front of the Grab Taxi booth! I didn't miss out on the photo op with thisl wonderful fella! Eeeeee!

I also got my refund from the Grab Taxi booth then I visited the other booths to see what was in store. Each and every booth had tokens, and prizes for the bloggers also special offers. It was great that there was an opportunity to discuss their product to get to know the brand and I felt their excitement to meet the bloggers.

The talks were a great plus for bloggers who were able to grab tips and advice from influential social mediapersonalities which included the Youtube sensations Mikey Bustos and Bogart the Explorer, TV5 Host: Philip the Lifestyle Guy, Director for Community Management at MRM Worldwide Jason Cruz,The Boys Night Out: ToniTony, SlickRick and SamYG, Niña Terol-Zialcita, Ana Santos, and Nikka Sarthou.

I felt this rush of excitement while roaming and visiting each booth, too much excitement that I realized at then end I wasn't able to take much photos but let me share what I was able to take photos of.

This was the first booth you see as soon as you walk in which is for Megaworld lifestyle. They are currently promoting their mobile app which gives you access to the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, I got a chance to spin the wheel and I won 2 vouchers for a healthy yoga session. Can't wait to redeem the voucher and tell you wonderful guys about it.

Here is the set up of some of the booths, one of my favorites The Mind Museum and Grab Taxi.

While going around, I got a little side tracked since I saw Mikey Bustos on stage.

Getting back to the booths. Hehe.

I got a chance to taste the not so sweet but just right Gavino’s Japanese Donuts which gave you a smorgasbord of flavors.  I loved the fact that there was a variety of flavours and it’s something definitely new.

My taste buds were tickled once more by the robust flavor and aroma of the Brownbag Coffee Experience where they also gave me a bag of coffee for me to try at home. Their booth was such eye porn for me, with the lighting and the set up. It was wonderful to see such effort to promote their brand.

The noisiest of the booths I would have to say was Bounty Fresh’s Chooks To Go, and the noise was all because of this cute and interactive game to win a whole roasted chicken! This made bloggers smile and giggle with delight.

One of my favorite booths was for I love Lulu Nails otherwise known as Lulu Nail and Dry Spa. They were providing free manicure with your choice of the regular nail polish or Gel nail polish and also nail art. I will definitely be sharing my experience with you soon.
I also was very fond of the Richprime Global Inc.booth, who is the distributor for Barbie, Hotwheels, Fisher-Price, V-Tech and other popular toy brands. Can you see that cute Minion in the photo? I so loved the fact that there was a booth that Mommy bloggers would be fond of and I got to take home some tokens for the babies. Yey!
I also got to sample the buffet that was ultimately scrumptious and served by Tempura Japanese Grill, Karate Kid, Congo Grill and Flavors of China.
There were a lot more booths at Blogapaloozawhich included The PLDT Group, The Mind Museum, Chef’s Noodle, Ambient Digital, Wheatgrass C.A.N. International Inc., Hungry Juan, Gurkka.com, ZipMatch, Figaro, BYS Cosmetics, Enjoy Philippines, View Park hotels, Whirlpool, Fuijidenzo, Miles and Levels, NY Theraspine, Tropicana Coco Quench, Natural Quality Corporation, Tino Suits, Lazerxtreme, YSA Skin and Body Experts and  Plato Wraps. I will be blogging about some of these companies individually so keep your eyes glued on this blog.

All this was going on including the efforts to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda by having the adorable pink piggy banks which they also named “The Pink Piggy Bank Movement”,  circulate the event and this simple act actually managed to raise Php32,000.
I really have to be grateful to the organizers of the event that made it possible to create the connection between the businesses to bloggers. It is amazing way to give both sides to showcase what they have best to offer. Blogapalooza was organized by When In Manila and Awesome Planet which is headed by Vince Golangco, Francis Simisim and Anton Diaz.

Thank you Blogapalooza! I went home with a happy heart and an open mind to the benefits of blogging. I'm really excited to get the chance to join Blogapalooza next year.
