I wasn't a fan of watches until my late sister left me her prized watches and ever since, I realized that having a watch aside from looking at your phone is more valuable.

I also never thought of them as a fashion piece (yaaass, a total late bloomer!), then working in the BPO industry also made me see how my colleagues valued their branded wrist pieces. What do watches have to do with the BPO industry? Well for one, we aren't allowed to bring our phones in the actual production or work area nor am I exempted to bring my phone in the training room.
