I am required (not by the company, but by myself) to wear make up since I face a people at work as a leader and trainer.
9 hours a day isn't a joke for your concealer, BB/CC Cream, fondie (foundation) and blush to stay on your face especially if you have oily skin.
I saw before that some were using hair spray to set make-up but of course hair spray is meant for hair and not the face.
Then I found out about setting spray which can used either before, after or both before you apply make-up so it would last the whole day. So if you have problems with keeping make-up on your face, read on.
I had found out from a Facebook post shared that you can re-create a Setting spray which is so much cheaper than the likes of Snoe (499Php), Urban Decay (2,690Php) and Skindinavia (2,700Php).
I spent 192Php in total! With only 3 ingredients and a spray bottle, I had a gold mine for frugal make-up enthusiasts like myself.
What You Need:
2 tablespoons of Pure Glycerine
3 tablespoons of Alcohol-Free Toner
5 tablespoons of rose water or distilled water*
1 travel spray atomizer bottle
*I replaced one tablespoon of water with 1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera Mist for freshness. Of Course it's totally optional.
All you have to do is to put all the ingredients in the spray bottle, shake it a little and voila - you have a setting spray.
All you do is spritz your face with the bottle 10cm away from your face before applying make-up, this will give you a smooth base. Once you are done, spray again to "set" your make up.
Glycerine itself has many benefits and it's toxic free! Both the toner and Glycerine will help minimize your pores creating that smooth finish yet "dewy" look.
If the dewy look isn't your hype then just don't use the spray after putting on your make-up.
For 10 hours my make-up kept up with the pace of my work and I only needed to powder my nose once! Do keep in mind though that it may not work for you with how it did with me, since we have different reactions to products. This is also the same case if you have sensitive skin, but it is definitely worth a try since there are no harmful chemicals in this spray!
So I do hope that this does wonders for you like it did for me. Let me know will you?
Got a question or you just want to share experiences, drop me a line at my Facebook page, leave a comment or send me an email, ok? :)

DeleteSomething new to try. I just hope my skin won't break out with this. My mom gave me a vmv powder and foundation and now I have pimples na. :(
ReplyDeleteIf that's the case sis, I'd suggest first that you consult with a dermatologist muna, since some do react to Glycerine. :)If all good is Glycerine choose a toner which your skin is ok with, just make sure it's alcohol free to avoid drying of your skin. :)
DeleteOh nice! I love to DIY and tipid options 😊
