Common problem with those that have oily skin are blackheads and no one likes the unsightly look especially on your nose. With our humid weather and pollution, it’s even harder to battle blackheads these days.

Black Heads Removal

So, what can you do to remove and prevent them? Read on.

Let’s ask what are blackheads? When your hair follicle gets plugged by sebum, oxidation causes the darkening, and this makes them blackheads. It’s basically a pimple or form of acne due to clogged hair follicles that have darkened on top.

Like any other pimple – popping them is a no-no! It can get worse if you do. So let me share some tips to help remove and prevent blackheads.

Exfoliating always is a great way to prevent blackheads and you can do it with items in your kitchen!

1. Oatmeal Scrub
This is a natural exfoliant. Place 5 tablespoons of oatmeal in a bowl, add warm water just enough to make a paste then cool. Apply the paste to your nose, let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it off. For supple skin you can add a teaspoon of honey or use milk instead of water to create the paste.

2. Egg White mask
This serves as a natural peel, and helps skin become smoother. Just separate the egg yolk and use the egg white to apply on your nose. Leave it to dry, you will know it is dry when it your skin becomes tighter. Then just wash off.

Now, don’t expect a miracle that with one application blackheads are gone, but eventually they will go and this is the most natural way to do it which is kinder to your skin.

Your skin may react differently since we all have various skin types, it’s always safer to visit a dermatologist to get the best care.
